Building skills for the business analyst of tomorrow: Gigi Kelly, University of Virginia

November 22, 2013

In this interview at IBM Information On Demand, Gigi Kelly, Assistant Professor, McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, explains how over the last 3-5 years industries have been looking for business analysts and consultants who understand both the worlds of business and technology.

Gigi says the value in partnering with IBM is in exposing students to the tools of the trade. In addition to IBM SPSS, students are now being introduced to IBM Cognos and IBM BigInsights.

At the EdCon conference, Gigi was able to get hands-on advice from IBM to help with configuration and to help see how these tools could be integrated into the curriculum.
