If you have a passion for writing code and exploring cutting edge technologies, you have likely downloaded IBM InfoSphere Streams Quick Start Edition. If you haven’t, now is the perfect time. Why? Top Streams talent is conducting a one of a kind conference on Stream Computing. IBM experts will work from the Quick Start Edition and give everyone free training and hints and tips. By the end of the day, you will have your own real-time streaming analytics application up and running.
If you are seasoned, don’t worry, there is an advanced track. In addition to getting your questions answered, you can spend the day with your advanced peers and share knowledge. If you are new and want a detailed guide structure, there is a track for you too.
We will dive deep into SPL, the Streams processing language. Getting help from top Streams experts beats reading the technical documentation, so bring your laptops with Quick Start installed and you can participate in labs or think about how you might extend the lab to meet your business requirements. Attendees from past Streams hackathons and users of quick start will be there and networking opportunities will abound.
We will answer questions about the new InfoSphere Streams open source project. IBM has decided to create an open source project for some Streams components to speed development of applications, and harness the energies of the development community. Other developers can now extend the IBM source with new capabilities. In future releases, we expect to incorporate new function from the projects into Streams. We also expect other developers to contribute new Steams native functions, operators and toolkits into the new Streams community to further accelerate adoption.
Please join us in Foster City, CA where you will have a good time, enjoy some free food and network with other talented developers. Everyone is so busy and rushed with the stress of their daily jobs and family. Take a day for yourself and learn how to develop innovative streaming data analytics applications.
