Mobile: The new business requirement for the 21st century

Since about 2005, mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have been driving a convergence of two massive global industries: telecommunications and media. As these have begun blending into a single powerful engine of audience insight, consumers are setting their expectations of quality and quantity for delivery of mobile content ever higher.

Not surprisingly, this was a hot topic at the Mobile World Congress 2016. At the conference, IBM representatives talked at length with hundreds of IBM customers, industry analysts and conference attendees to find out how communications service providers (CSPs) can develop deep capabilities that engage customers and partners and, by doing so, create products and services that help infuse agility into the infrastructure, allowing organizations to profitably and securely manage through the forces of change.
