Public Sector Talks is a new series of podcasts focused on the application of analytics to solve issues facing citizens. The first episode, featuring guest Rosetta Lue, Customer Service Officer for the City of Philadelphia, discussed the customer experience and suggested ways for citizens to enhance their engagement with cities. The second episode deals with the challenges facing emergency management, describes communications during a crisis event, shows how analytics enhances situational awareness and much more.

Adam Crowe is the Director of Emergency Preparedness at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a nationally recognized speaker and author on various issues related to emergency management, emergency preparedness, community relations and social media utilization. He has worked in all facets of emergency management including planning, preparedness, operations, public information, stakeholder relations and public education. His books "Disasters 2.0: The Application of Social Media Systems for Modern Emergency Management" and "Leadership in the Open: A New Paradigm in Emergency Management" are both available from CRC Press. He also writes the blog "A Futurist’s Guide to Emergency Management" for Emergency Management Magazine.
